I don't really get the idea of "microblogging"

No, not really. If I want to tell someone what am doing, I would just sms or call them up... otherwise facebook status updates does the job just fine.

It's a sort of "nice" idea if you have friends/family all over the universe and you want to tell them you're going to watch the new hideous bond flick, but in the bigger picture it a "so what?" issue.

I totally agree with KJ... Also, even facebook and personal blogs that concern a smaller segment of people one is/becomes familiar with to some extent than the whole universe at large are losing the popularity they've once had...I don't think twitter will ever be more interesting because the lack of this personal element.

I registered to the jordanian microblogging www.watwet.com didnt use it yest fully,you have just reminded me that i have an account there..lol.well i think the idea is differant from blogging ,its like a quick blogging tool,and since it reaches mobiles and web too (and with watwet it changes facebook status if you allow it)then i think its a whole new idea.i've never used twitter,but i think its the same idea.

blogging on the road,is also doable for blogs i think,but its easier with microblogging since it is all based on delivering your msg instantly.i cant say i like it or not till i use it.it might be of a use.you never know
