Palin calls Bush a major obstacle for campaign

Republican ticket targets administration in bid to boost poll numbers

GREEN, Ohio - President Bush's unpopularity is the No. 1 problem for the Republican presidential ticket, vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin said in an interview airing Friday, breaking sharply with the president as the campaign enters its final days.

Palin made her remarks in an interview Wednesday with Brian Williams, anchor of "NBC Nightly News." Beginning with that interview and continuing in newspaper interviews and campaign speeches, Palin and Republican presidential nominee John McCain have made it clear that they are determined to disassociate themselves from the president, who registered only a 22 percent approval rating in a New York Times poll released this week.

"We're up against a lot," said Palin, the governor of Alaska. "We're up against a very unpopular president, Bush's administration right now, and those who want to link us to that administration."

very funny sketch, but it won't help them to just say they are distancing themselves from Dubya.

After all, when Palin learned what the "bush doctrine" was on her first interview as VP candidate, she didn't exactly disagree with it.

Yabaya, my party my party!! Everyone's going to thrown under the bus, what will be do then? Rogue Repubs everywhere.

That said, I don't trust the NYT polls anymore, nor NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN. I have begun to find myself in the odd position of being a deseminator (sp?) of rightish-wing news, thanks to Mohanned introducing me to Drudge Report and Hareega to HuffPo, where I found links to those bottom-feeder blogs of the right.

One bright spot for me, with all the cannibalisim going on within the GOP, a grass-roots effort of individuals is 'going viral' in passing on info that the MSM won't in order to back their candidate. A little late, but it is making a difference. And it is happening underneath the noses of MSM, who thinks we aren't smart enough to download You Tube for ourselves.

On the subject of his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, McCain rejected the notion that she unqualified to be president and is hurting the campaign.

it is not that bad the republican won Alaska and lost the rest of the country.

There are many blogs on both sides. But it's a historical time when many Republicans find themselves felling Obamish for the first time after all, McCain and Palin might not have been a great choice. And it's about time we had change
