You didn't think I would get a crappy overpriced MacBook, now did you?
My new Lenovo ThinkPad X301 (the update for the X300 above) has arrived. Boasting 4GB Ram, 128GB Solid State hard drive and Intel vPro Centrino 2. A true winning package over the much heavier (albeit sexier) MacBook Air. But ounce for ounce, this thing beats the MacBook air in everything!
3G WWAN Built in, Bluetooth Built in, 1.3MP Camera and a gorgeous 13.3" LED backlit 1440x900 screen. All in under 3LB. Or as I call it, perfect travel size.
The cool thing is that in reviews, this laptop scored way better in performance than the much hyped MacBook Air. It comes with 3 USB ports, a built in RW Optical DVD drive, 5 hour battery life (and this doesn't include the extra battery that you can replace the optical drive with)
Check out this review here, especially this part:

The X301 has the new Intel 4500MHD integrated graphics on board. The 3D performance actually gets quite a bump from the previous X300 thanks to this upgrade, over 200 points higher in 3DMark06:

Memories....
it looks hideous though
you just reminded me of my office so i hate u this weekend
You PC loving red neck republican.
Hamede likes it.
Even a top of the line laptop can't compete with an assembled desktop one third its price. So I can't live with them myself.
As for server part, I don't need too much power, I already have a 16 quadcore 18TB data-center to play with using terminal services. So mobility, mobility, mobility is my top priority. If it came with style, performance ...etc then why not :)
I do realize this laptop at $3500 is not cheap, and more expensive than Macbook Air, but it opens possibilities that can never be fulfilled by Macbook air, especially that handsome 128GB solid state drive :)
