With every second that passes, I find myself getting closer and closer to closing one of the most painful chapters in my life. I was talking about this to an Indian colleague of mine today, and he said that in their Indian mythology, people pass through cycles of good and bad. It's just inevitable, the yin and yang, the rotation of Earth. The world is shifting and everything must change

Maybe I have just crossed the lean years. Maybe I have many years of happiness and prosperity ahead that I shouldn't waste. One thing is certain, as this chapter winds down, a new one is about to be written

I think everyone's life is defined by cycles of prosperity and low tides. Happiness and sadness.

    They continuously iterate

Maybe it's how we remember the value of whatever we have. Maybe it is there to teach us few lessons in experience. Lessons in life and forge us into what we are today.

Maybe it's a way for the universe to prepare us for what's to come. As we grow older, our responsibilities grow with us. Our duties grow with us. Decisions we make affect more people.

Maybe that's why we go through these cycles

Maybe that's the way we fill up the chapters of life.

Unlike school, there's no quiz at the end of the chapter. The chapter itself is the greatest mystery, the toughest question is what will you ink next in it.

Are you ready to answer that question?

    Memories....

well, the question might also be whether we are ready to start the new chapter.
    I know I am :)
    Thanks Whisperer... I fixed it.
    Then, stop complaining!
    =)
Enjoy this new chapter you're about to begin , even though it is a cycle , what comes will never be repeated with the same details ! it will take different forms and we ought to enjoy all of its forms !

    I'm not complaining :)

I am enjoying it. I understand. But I think by the time the next cycle arrives, I will be ready for it this time :)
that's very true.. our life is made up of chapters! And as we grow older we always look back at the choices we have made.. as long as you keep away the feelings of 'regret', you'll always be safe.. no matter how painful a particular chapter was!

I keep saying that in the next chapter I will grow up :D

But the current chapter is just too damn long!
I think the sad part is that once we have gone through enough cycles to have a clear understanding of the world around us, it is too late to use it. It's a flawed model.
Maybe the best thing we can do is realize that there will come better times. Or, there will come worse time. So we need to prepare
