Don't really love or hate any month more than most at least not since school (every kid loves the summer). Now my life is either week-day or week-end, and nothing in between!

noone can claim to hate august more than me...lost hubby and mom in august...still i get along with it and donot associate it with what happend....

Indeed the loss of Mahomoud Darwish is a sad shock to all of us. But i guess given the long history of the human race, every month must have seen its share of tragic losses, wars, deaths, deseases and everything... so take it easy on this month ;-)

I hate August, since August the 18th is the dreaded day for all students. :(

I didn't see anything invasive on FF myself other than the new yamli script is now popping up in the middle of the comment text area field instead of the bottom right where you can still see it without it being annoying.

I don't necessarily agree ... It's sad that Mahmoud Darwish passed away but at the same time his passing shook the Arabic nation and woke up many of us who had forgotten about great Arabic poetry. As a side effect a lot of people have been spending time on the net looking for Arabic poetry and for verses of Darwish and others. In his commemoration we put up on Yamli's main page one of my favorites "سجِّل أنا عربي", three little words with so much meaning ...

This might come as a bit too much, but I did learn in life to always be optimistic and see the positive outcome of every event, maybe being Lebanese and Arab has something to do with it :) ...

yes august sux big time i was born august 28 but it means hell to me and any one else i had ever known i hope to die this day  so i wont have to live in pain of being used tortured and lied to  for soooooooooo long now. it was the worst thing to happen to me any way to be even born into a life that no one gives a dam if u live or die. and most have 100 faces . especially when they knew a long time ago what they are doing to u and what they did to u. and they secretely listen to phone calls so they can make it appear that it was the other one doing all the damage to u. and later they can  just say oh she is crazy. all that torture will  be in the day of judgement inshallah ya rub i hope all will go to hell in august. after they destroyed my life. they need to worry now what will happen to their life and  their sisters life even the taxi whores life  may be altered...................
