I read my father's name ...

I read my mother's name...

I read how delighted they are to have the pleasure of inviting people to their only son's wedding

The sad part ... they're not going to make it

In fact, not a single soul from my biological family is going to make it! I will be all alone, on my own

Just as I have been for the past 10 years

But, I guess that's why people get married. That's why they decide to branch out and make their own family. So that they're no longer alone.

They have a larger family now..

I might be going into this alone, but the ride is going to be worth it. I'm making me a new family

I just wish I could have my parents join me in this happy occasion.

I'll keep wishing, and praying ...

aw that is sad....hubby's parents couldnt make it to our wedding..(damned palestinian wathqa!) so at the time we were having the wedding here they put on engagment video and watched it...and my MIL invited her neighbours over and had a small party on that day...so they could feel they were here...i hope u have a nice wedding when is it again??

No, I won't be able to do it. For so many reasons. Mostly due to the timing. Everyone over here is busy with work, university...etc going to Jordan is not an option. But I will have another reception there inshallah one day

I am sorry for the empty space that will be left by your parents' absence. On the other hand, I am sure for them that the pain is lessened just by the fact God has brought that special woman along in their lifetime! As others have said, in spite of that loss, may God make the joy complete!
