Sometimes, we really forget who we are, and how amazing we -used to- be. Before life diverged from the dream we started embarked on as young people. We had dreams as large as the universe and energy to fill t from side to side. If nto even more.

Sky was the limit and ambitions we brighter than the Sun in broad daylight.

    Then....

Somewhere, along the path of life... we got lost!

My very old friend, reminded me how I was when I was a teenager, over a decade ago! How I argued new points to her that she has never heard of. Specifically, how I respected Indians, and how we need to all respect humans. No matter how or where they come from.

To her, coming out of small town Saudi Arabia at the time, this was groundbreaking! How can anyone think that Asian workers with are as human as we are! It was all too new...

She reminded me of how I changed her mind about certain things, and how things aren't always what they seem. How the social norms are really, time bombs. How men and women are more equal than most like to admit. Hearing my own thoughts reflected off another human reminded me of certain values that my journey to the US didn't teach me.

I came to this land, knowing exactly what freedom, justice and equality means... Then something happened, and these values changed meanings...

I decided it's time for me to open up my very old journals, and take another look at thoughts I documented in the previous Millenia ..

Who knows what I will find, one story I am certainly looking forward to read. The werewolf. I Sci-fi/fantasy story projecting the conditions in the university at the time on a fictional world. I wonder how it will feel now, if I read it once more!

Thank god for old friends! (and new ones :))

Haven't I told you several times that most of the concepts we argue about are just abstract or subjective?

She's a good friend, if she reminds you of your core values by simply being who she is.

Share with us the warewolf. I will keep reading between the lines in this post till then :D

So true... we have so many dreams and hopes that are sometimes unrealistic that on our way to achieving them we lose ourselves... we end up so changed that we forget how we used to be.

We are lost trying to find ourselves.. And all we are left with are nostalgic memories of the way things were and how even then we were complaining clueless about our fate and future..

    So true Dino$, so true
