I was talking a couple of days ago about sinning.. I was wondering what would happen if when anyone commits a sin, they'd get a mark on their face, or they'd stink for sometime, or anything of that sort, what would we do then? And why didn't God do this to us?

Second, I won't know how I will act in that specific example you mentioned. However, there are some things in my life that my loved ones "will not know" (yet) and I have to say it is destroying every inch of me.

Any person with the least amount of conscience won't be living "happily ever after" with this, knowing that the only thing not hurting the people they love is actually telling them, versus doing the act in the first place.

Well, personally, I would do it but not while I am in a healthy relationship  ;) but I prefer if that someone of my dream, if he appears one day, to be the one I would spend the rest of my life with, and be proud to be seen with him…anyway, in relation to your post, I personally believe that mystery and secrecy add spices to relationship, and that's why they probably last for a long time and they die once exposed ; however, it is a totally different case when it comes to men and women, if a woman is having a healthy and happy life in all its aspect, she will never think of it, the only chance she would do it if she is really UNSATISFIED; however, if she is a woman who enjoys risks, she might take it, but I doubt it. "No one will know"!!! the problem that everybody knows, we think we are good in hiding things, but I do believe that it comes a time where things get exposed…anyway, I wonder how would a person lives with him/herself, I think it is really difficult, even if your partner does not know, but I wonder how this person would respect him/herself…if he is a real human, he/she will have these moments where he/she will feel guilty; besides, I do believe that no matter how good you are in hiding things, you partner will know that there is something different….

course not! im spiritual, and religeous, i wudnt think of this at all, plus even if 'haffat nefsi' there's always Karma! it will come back and bite me in the ass one day.. and working off a bad karma is so energy draining!

this is the most devil idea I read here in your blog. to start with, being in a "satisfactory" relation is not right, we should wait for the right, not for the satisfactory, of course the right should be real, not dreamy right.
Proudpali said it right, Karma will follow you, even if in only your dreams (Mr. Brooks movie is a good reference :D), so ya no one will know, but you will know, and then your inside you will scare the hell out of you in the night,,,,in the dreams, till you admit it because this is the only way of relief. this only applies to good persons who have a good "dhameer". Now if you are a bad person, then my advice is to Do it and enjoy it to its max limits, your bad anyway :D.

It happens all the time in society, just with "lesser" sins.  Many of my  friends cheat in their religious obligations simply because know one sees them.  And while they remain pious in the eyes of the surrounding community, God is the one who sees the heart.

Well, i think that 99.9% of people live and can live with the things that they dont know. There are few types of situations tho. Now lets say you knew something about the other,. Ask your self Does it change your opinion about them? Does it spoil your relationship? I Think it is quite healthy to have secrets and mystery in any relationship ,because that is what keeps us going- or else we would just be boring. Now if what you know destroys your veiws or weakens you ,or you are always feeling guilty , or it effects your health and well being, then thats the time to ask yourself Is it worth the time spent on trying to know anyway.I Know one thing  and that is  if you truley love them and your love is unconditional then you can live with them  anyway anyhow no matter if they killed another. So then what you know doesnt matter because it over powers all you know and will know therafter.Forgiveness is the key that will set you free .All people do things in their daily lives that know one will ever know. But to me it is what you know that can change the opinions about the other- If you let it.Most people only know what they are told, but for some they know nothing .Our 5 senses are there for reasons so we can find out what we may or may not want to know.

I know that it happens and I have seen it happen, you would be with someone and your "one" comes out of nowhere.. the thing is what do you do? I am going to forget about the partner and think about that person, if it was a female and we usually think in an emotional way other than a sexual way, we will be having an emotional affair but most probably wont act on it, not just because we are thinking about our partner but also because if I may say once you pop you cannot stop, so doing whatever she wants to do with that person even if her partner did not find out and then going back to her normal life with him is not possible.. I think men can do it but we cant.. we get attached, it will just ruin our life..

Allah will know! Isn't that enough? My Superego would kill me! My concious, all of these would stop me from doing anything wrong
