As you can see, I've engaged in an experiment to evaluate online advertising for blogs. Throughout my sites, you will notice ads that are there to help with this experiment

Many have expressed interest in getting some revenue from Ads, and I decided that I am going to experiment with this so that I Can give authoritative answers

Many people all over the world are claiming astronomical gains by adding ads to their blogs. While I find that plausible. How much money is being made is something that isn't very clear to me since I have never engaged in it

I decided that I will be adding ads to my sites to see how well do these things work.

I will be keeping my readers and people interested up to date on what I learn, and possible give some guides on how to do it best.

The 99:1 ration is still at play here. In multiple dimensions. 99 hits to 1 click. Add to that, 99 out of every site that has ads will generate anything. So, it will be good to experiment and see the results. I will try my best to share these with you

There are ways to do everything
For starters. Wordpress.com as I can Sweet it is starting to become more and more restrictive to the point that people are moving away from it to host-your-own solutions
Wordpress is still by far one of the best blogging platforms out there and I highly recommend it

I will post another article on "HOW TO" maybe later this week.

What I am trying to do here is separate the myth from fact, the fiction from reality and the exaggeration from real results.
I'm hearing about people making tens of thousands a month. While I find some of their methodology questionable at best

I am with google adsense since 11-2006 until now, I manage adds @ 3 web sites which i am an admin for them: www.openskyme.com and www.openstarme.com and my blog www.askadenia.net .. but you knw?? since that time I collect 88 USD :S:S:S I don't know if there are any wrong or what??? i heard some people get 100 USD every month aprox.

the fist 2 sites had a big traffic every day with some clicks on adds, but what I get every day?? some cents zay el sha7adenn :D:D:D

I would hate to say to a person please don't make money,its kind of selfish, but this is how I feel...I hate seeing ads we see that all over the internet, Qwaider planet has that extra value of no ads, which are annoying. hey I would rather pay a subscription to be on Q planet than see the ads.

Why would I get offended by your comment!? It seems like you've been bitten way too many times when sharing your opinion to think that I might backlash at you for what I see as very valuable and constructive criticism.

I've taken your feedback (and others) and decided to change the way the ads look. Check them out now and let me know if you feel they're better

I'm always open for suggestions

Exactly, that's what on my mind, I'm thinking of hosting my own website but still the server is WordPress, so I think the problem remains.

Anyway, I'd really appreciate your help if there's a way for it. :D

No Jasim if you hast wordpress on your own server/host you don't have that problem AT ALL. You can pretty much do anything you want, from installing custom themes to modifying the code, to installing wordpress addons/widgets/controls. There are absolutely no limitations (well, there are legal ones)

So if you have your own hosting, it's possible and easy

I'm not a computer wizz, so I don't know much about hosting and servers and such. So what I think I'm going to do, is buy the domain name, and then host it on WordPress's sever. What I know that I can't edit the themes or use a CSS code and such freely, also I can't use HTML coding, so I think I'll have to answer to WordPress's rules. It's nice to host your own website on your own server, but only for the people who know about it. NOT me. :D

La2 mesh hek, it's that after I read the comment before posting it it seemed a little harsh, so I added the no offense part just to make sure it's understood the way it's meant i.e positive criticism..

Now it's much easier on the eye..

How about placing them on side bars? wella fe some kinda restriction where you have to place the ads?
And also trying to modify their background so that they melt with the theme of the blog (like at Bakkouz's)

Ha. Did you see the ad today? "Free Chat in Jordan. Meet Arabic men for marriage. Free chat. Arab chat. Join Free now." And it was in English, so is it targeting foreign women to marry Arab men??? Hmmm. Is there a big rush on Arab men these days? ROFL. Sorry, I found that hysterical.
