Frozen time

Like so many humans since prehistoric times. We move in this life and grow. We change place and jobs. People we used to be friends with become far figments of our imagination. We don't even know if they're still alive. They occupy less and less of our brains and get locked in the confines of our archives

Then, one day, we stumble upon one of them and for some unknown reason we feel surprised that they have changed!

I can't even begin to describe my amazement when a very old friend found my contact information and got in touch. She has 10 years old kids now! Can you imagine that!? It's insane!

What boggles me is that somehow my mind kept thinking of these people as frozen in time. Frozen in the past! They don't age, they don't change, gain weight, get older or have social events!

But they do..

The mind, is a wonderful thing!

I was thinking about the exact same thing the other day and I was gonna blog about it but slightly differently. It's weird how people change, but you expect them to still be exactly like they used to be when you knew them.

Sure, you can call having 10 year old kids, a different career, attitude change, but in some other ways people don't change at all from the child they once were.

What's worse man is when they say "you've changed" (negative implication)... like seriously, look at yourself!

But indeed, the brain is a wonderful thing.. or is it the mind ;) ponder that for a minute
