Memories....
PS-Maybe we are evil. If you consider that your people are "good" then Americans can hardly be anything else by comparison, can we?
"Why do you publish this anti 'American Propaganda' on an Arab blog"
Because, 23.74% of my readers come from America, by comparison, my readers from Jordan are about 11.84% of all my readers followed by 9.4 from the UK. So, yes, I am hoping that it will reach some audience of people who might not even know.
My country suffers from MANY issues, but since I'm a tax payer in the US. I have every right to not only publish the truth, but to criticize the system and where it's pouring MY TAX DOLLARS
Aside from that, one of the biggest problems IN MY CULTURE is the blind, biased, American support for Israel over the years. YES, America is causing that problem.
Now with that out of the way, I can simply say, that I have, and continue to, address issues in my own culture. This will not side track me from that, but thank you for your concern.
And yes, I am very hopeful that this means of civilized interaction might help someone who is actually looking for answers. I had a number of these over the years, and I hope that I have left a lasting impression.
And yes, I really believe that most Americans are unaware of what this honorable lady is saying. Many good natured people around the world are not aware, of the practices of their governments. If these videos and others present anything, it's the utter fact that people are being lied to IN THIER FACE. By obscuring, the facts.
I'm satisfied with the result so far, see the little "Read By" block below? It shows where have people come from and so far, there are 14 'guest' from USA and few others. Suffice it to say that, finding you here, is enough to get a simple message across. I'm thankful for your visit.
if u truly believe that americans do know about what is going on around this world, then i would suggest that u watch jay leno when he has the Jay Walking and asks ppl trivial questions about usa or the world...which they fail to answer with flying colors...
beside what is been talked about here is simply how the american media covers up the news for political or whatever reasons...there was nothing against the americans themselves!!!
peace....
Now, since you obviously don';t have anything you'd like to say to the other 99% of Americans, I'll clear off of your blog and let you have fun bashing the country that you "pay taxes" in.
I think you might find your tax rate is lower in Jordan, though. And honestly, we can survive without your tax dollars. Because, yes, we are evil. And we don't want "good" people like you to suffer needlessly, living in our awful country.
PS-Get the fuck out.
PPS-Seriously, go home.
PPPS-Really, I mean it.
To Craig, I think these videos answer your question better than anything that can be said here. They show that American newspapers and TV news channels cannot give us the accurate information we need, so we definitely have to look at other sources of information to see the full picture. You don't wanna keep Americans misinformed, do you?
Craig!
Sorry to disappoint you, but I AM home, I made it my home despite bigoted people like you. People like me (and probably few generations back your great grand parents) built this country.
And trust me, I didn't gain anything since I got here, everything I have is not new to me, I had similar better of when I was back home, and my tax dollars are enough to put a few people like you on the welfare for few decades.
Oh and if you have the means to deport me, PLEASE, go ahead and do it. No seriously.. Do it! I challenge you to! Give it your best shot Mr bigot!
As far as I know, Jordan, with it's horrible human rights record, have not engaged in deportations of anyone. Nor has it established prisons like Guantanamo!
But, I'm glad a video like this one got you so offended! Wow! Some people really have a chip on their shoulders when it comes to the media!
Oh and before you lecture me about my intent! How about you give a piece of your mind to the people in the media about their intent?
We all venture out in search for money and fame but at the end of the day we all come back to what matters most: Family, friends, loved ones, our country - no sorry - the ARAB WORLD, our one culture, our one God.
They may have united countries, united armies, invented "free speech" (which is as abstract of a concept as it can get, if you look at each word from a philosophical perspective), they were racist against themselves, against their own religion, against their own kind.
Then they call us all sorts of stuff, backwards tribesmen.
They may have better materialistic lives, economy, cars, security, what have you.
What they don't genuinely have is Arabic bread, olives, "shakhet el 3anzeh", cucumber, and fresh tomatoes, rain-grown, with a family of 6 or more sitting on the floor sharing this one loaf, with their neighbors, between empty shells and under "anti-terrorist" bombs flying overhead, with a smile on their face because all what they need in the world is right there in that room, not in the hands of a politician or their boss's bank account.
I quote Fairuz: "مرات ما بيلتقى عنا رغيف، وبنعيش بأطيب من الجنه".
Bless your heart my friend.
Second, I find it extremely hypocritical of you to lecture an Arab American blogger about what topics he or she should write about and what topics he or she should avoid. I don't imagine you frequent so many Arabic blogs to learn about their "opinions about what's going on in Jordan" and other parts of the Arab world. As far as anybody can tell from the pattern of your comments, you are nothing but a troll.
But just in case you are actually interested in gaining new information from a different culture, here is an Arab saying that you might find revealing when it comes to the matter of how you reacted to this blog post. The following is sometimes said to describe people with your pattern of behavior:
بنقولّه ثور، بيقول إحلبوه
Don't worry, it's not an insult. I suggest you ask someone to translate it for you. You might find it beneficial the next time you want to respond to material such as what is in this post.
I hope I never have to use a piece of code written by you.
None of us likes to have our countries dirty laundry hung out for all the world to see. But that is what happens when we don't DO our laundry, it smells enough that others begin to notice.
Qwaider isn't plotting attacks or trying to overthrow the gov and establish shari'a law. Let's save the attacks for those kind.
if you think that Qwaider is promoting Arab-American Hate through publishing (if America Knew) you are mistaken. its not anti peace, or anti american, its a set of facts that says American Media is not reliable. so no need to be offended we already know that, you need to know that and do something about it.
lets take it outside.
People like Alison Weir are an example in empathy humanity for all of us, and are a credit to all Americans. I mean she obviously has nothing to gain from any of this. The people she is concerned for are of a different religion, a different culture, speak a different language and live on a different continent. Best example I've seen since Rachel Corrie. Simply marvelous!
I also love how she mentioned the role of (American weapons) in the conflict, and the amount of (American Aid) to Israel, how regional instability caused by US policies is actually increasing the danger, and the most telling media bias meter of all, amount of coverage.
I remember in college I took a couple of classes on propoganda and media bias, and the type of figures Alison was using are invaluble in analyzing this type of thing. For example we searched CD-rom's containing records of all newspaper articles for each year comparing the number of times a specific word appears in a newspaper headlines. The top words reflected not necessarily the issues people were most interested in, but the issues the media was interested in impressing on people.
This is where blogging and internet news sites shine! I think we're much closer to the truth than someone who only relies only TV for their news!
Thank you Qwaider.
15 Million dollars A DAY!
With the recession in the US, and the stupid Iraqi war bills piling up, there's a better place to spend those 15 million dollars a day!
God, there won't be a single homeless person in the streets in the US!
People won't have to file for bankruptcy and get foreclosed on their homes if this was spent ON THEM
At least the US dollar won't be in the situation it is in right now!
15 MILLION dollars A DAY! That's more than what APPLE makes. (oh and by the way, I think the number is closer to 30 since 15 million account only for 5.4 billion a year, and I know Israel gets closer to 10)
