Is this injustice EVER going to end!? When are we all going to stop the silence?

When are we going to be able to speak our minds, and not be thrown in Jail?

When are we going to be able to challenge authority's mistakes .. and not go beyond the stars?

When can we argue about anything, and not throw the name of a prophet, a king, the social norm as a weight behind our arguments?

    When?

Freedom of speech isn't just hard, it's an illusion. Want proof? Ask Mil Gibson or anyone who dared to say anything!

Public opinion as it seems, might be worse than the harshest regime!

Wish you freedom Fouad, you've not been forgotten!

    Memories....

I am absolutely with you Qwaider. Who can accept this silence?
What can we call it in our arabic language - as Muthafar AlNawab said.

I hope you start a new idea that we can do something better for Fouad.

    Thank you
No Shaltaf, Thank you for your support. I hope so too. We can start by not leaving him behind in the dark
I wouldn't compare Mel Gibson getting media lynched for somethign he said when he was drunk driving to getting arrested for speaking your mind on a blog.

It's funny I'm normally apathetic to political struggles since I know my caring won't do any good, but the other day by chance I read a post through the QP RSS feed from one of the Iraqi blogs you carry (Baghdad Burning), and I found myself very interested. I went and read a dozen more posts by riverbend form the same blog, and I found myself getting upset. Truly the pen can be mightier than the sword!
50 days of injustice inflicted upon AlFarhan for voicing his opinion... how sad!
    Hani
Imagine if this happened to you? At least you car rest assured (between the falakat) that someone is saying something to get you released ..

I'm glad Qwaider Planet is providing you with a way to always be in touch with the latest blogs from all walks of life. The pen is truly mightier than the sword

Imagine. Just for saying few words about a corrupt regime.
The greatest Jihad is كلمة حق عند سطان جائر
That's what all the bin ladens in the world couldn't do
I believe that we will not get our FREEDOM easily.
    Many of us will sacrifice.
And those - only those - people who will dig their names in our history as HEROES.

I said it before and today I am totaly sure it was true.
Absolutely, the more we sound off about it the better. The comparison with Mel Gibson just struck me because he didn't get arrested for what he said.

Moey was writing something about Jordan becoming the new KSA, i don't think he meant it, but I hope this will never happen in my lifetime.
