Jordanians are distinguished with MANY good, and bad traits. Like for example, Jordanians have the BEST frown (kashra) on the face of the planet. No one can even come close to our frown. But there are a bunch of things that are just so negative and you see it just about ANYWHERE you go in Jordan. Our worst attribute

If one guy opens a cell phone store... 6 million other cell phones stores open

if one guy opens a Falafel stand .. 6 million other open falafel stands

If one guy made some interesting Shawarma gemmik and people liked it, 6 million others do the same thing

If facebook succeeds 6 million facebook like sites open in Jordan

If Twetter comes out with a stupid idea that attracted people, we just have to imitate it and create our own stupefied, copy

We are so obsessed with imitating anything that we think works. The rule in Jordan is, if you THINK it worked for someone, the spoil it for everyone and imitate them!

The rule says, Innovate, don't imitate!

And here's the most annoying imitation I've ever seen. It worked for one dude, then why not spam the whole Internet with it and look cool?

I'm talking about the stupid 2x7x365 crappy posts. Why do you have to make everyone suffer with that crap? Do you have to keep track? Do you have to keep score? What's wrong with writing about people without giving them prison designations? Is that so bad?!

The original idea: Aka 365 project was amazing, fantastic, but most importantly NEW. Ok, It's NO LONGER NEW! How about inventing something new, like a 7Days project? Where you bore us with your endless nonsense about some one you know for 7 days and see how that goes. Maybe that will be fun! Maybe that will be dumb! Who cares, at least you know if this is the kind of thing that you want to do! Or people like or even care about! Trust me, no body gives a damn about you having that at number 198x365. And by the way, this year is a leap year. So it's a bad year to start a 365 project

I know imitation is the greatest form of flattery, but I think we OVER DO IT

Stop imitating everything you see! Some ideas are GREAT, don't spoil them.

    Memories....

offf quite a list dude :D
when i first saw these numbers in some blogs i was wondering mmmmm shoo haaad ?? loooool and now i will ask again what do they mean :S

every thing is becoming more and more expensive now but thoughts so let people imitate yaa Qwaider t3aqedhaash :D
emm... I totally lost you after "2x7x365 crappy posts" :) well.. it's my blognorance(blog+ignorance) i guess.

With regards to imitation, well, I've seen it happen on corporate level: "Get us the latest booklet from x-buiness, we need to do something similar." Actually, the idea is to damage rather then imitate, and to steal from the customer-base that x-business was able to create for their new service. We're talking here about Banks, IT companies, etc... notice how in Amman all banks rebranded at the same time, it started with one, then domino-effected. One day, one bank launched a new service, immediately all other banks followed suit, and guess what? Not by getting their own experts to impliment the new service, but rather through: "Get us those booklets from the counter... send someone to one of the branches to get us everything they have!"

lack of morality... The ethics of business are lacking in so many cases.

    blessings :)
    Chicka .. there are more

    Simsim
It's like this: You write a post about one person every day, for 365 days. so it's like 1x365 some went ahead and added the month so it became 1x1x365 others created all sort of craziness with it. It MEANS NOTHING! It's not a classification or meaning shorthand. YET, people jumped in and started following that format when they could have just said "Post dedicated to the soul of X" or "Memory of Y" or Remember Z. It's our continued passion to imitate anything that looks even remotely "working"

    Ruba
More like lack of originality and innovation. It still makes the original inventor of the idea more gratified!
comment 1x365:D lool.. dude, I hate that kashra!! When I smiled in the streets, the girls thought im trying to take their bfs and the guys thought im slipping a sign. Whats thhattt? its just a simple smile? ya 7aram.

Dude, I don't like you much, but I gotta hand it to you. You've got balls! Gotta give you that!
I don't think I've seen anyone, anywhere on the blogosphere who has this much courage.

Thanks for saying what we were all thinking of
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL @ the Kashara :D that was hilarious
as for the imitation, we are really good at this in Jordan, in fact we are the best, i remember when my dad first opened his business over there, there very few people around, by the time we left the country, you can see a place like ours on every single block, just because one place did really good, everybody had to do the same!
I have two vertical lines right between my eyebrows, and they are not caused by aging :D

BTW does it mean that you have to write 365 posts about people you met and affected you somehow?

Well let me tell you this:If 365 people have affected your life, then honestly you have to commit suicide!

Bas ya zalameh enta defesh o betdeb el 7aki dab!Zay abooy..

    Salam
Regards to your father, he must be the most honest man you know :)
i just knew what these numbers mean!! OMG...you people gonna tell us about 365 people ? OH DEAR!! GOD SAVE US!

BIG Ps : Batoul..cant resist the Jordanian Male charm! INDEED! LOL

It's a very Arabic thing overall. Look at our tv shows- from Superstar to Man sa yarba7 el Malyon, it's all foreign and imitated, but we imitate at things we're better at - in Jordan it's internet stuff, in Lebanon it's the TV shows, etc. Way to innovate..
give me a break!! at least I dont dig thai guys :D LOL!
Anonymous, it only became an arab thing once our own culture declined. There was a time when other nations would imitate our technological achievements. Water under the bridge.

About the 365 thing, I don't uaully read those posts, it's too overwhelming a number. On the other hand if you're really interested in a person, reading about the 365 people who affected them the most, and what they think about them may give you some insight. If not, no one is forcing us to read them. Besides I'm such an introvert I barely know 3.65 people as opposed to 365!
As an afterthought, I particularily hate it when the Egyptian movie industry tries to imitate Western movies.

I saw the Egyptian versions of Pretty Woman, and Romeo and Juliet, and let's just say I wish I hadn't !

when you aske a lady for marriage for marriger from her family, they use the same thing. They say that her  married cousins got 5 kg of gold or did their parties in a expanisbe holel and you have to do the same thing for their daughter.

I really can not understand why groom and bride should sit on sofa and evry one int he hall look at them ? who invented it?

    LOL @ the taksheer..

    Indeed! Especially from Zarga
Loooooooooool!! i was so confused about the numbers thingy but i caught up with it a few days ago. No comment left to say.

As for the imitation OMG i also agree with anon who said it is an arabic thing, coz it is. Here in UAE they had taken it to another level. A mobile shop opens and literally 15 shops open after it.. i couldn't believe what i saw, this applies to tailors, car accessories...
    Maher
    Poor world .. huh?

    انونيموس
But these movies are actually a franchise that opened in our countries. Although I agree with you in principle, but we didn't see 6 million Superstar shows spawn in the Arab world.

    Batoul
but maybe Thai guys like you?

    Hani Obaid#1
    LOL! 3.65?
But again, it's a way to pollute the world with useless crap which many people FORCE themselves to write in order to keep up with a silly idea. Yes it sold well for the first guy, but everyone repeating it makes the world a huge polluted blogosphere

    Hani Obaid#2
At least they're going after the west, instead of imitating their own over and over

    Whisperer
I fixed it, thanks. And sorry about the whispering thingie

    Moey
You name it, it's dumb! People are drawn to these ideas because at some point someone said Hey, I can contact my friends. Then the more you use it the more stupid the idea becomes
As for 30 secrets. At least that's not being copied by the universe :)

    Maiouh
yes, lool! but what is lool about it?

    طفيلي(  ahmad)
Yeah ... that's an intresting connection you've drawn, I haven't thought about it that way

    Whisperer#2
Thank you very much, looks like it's working

    KJ
LOL ... without mentioning names... we are an equal opportunity critisizer :)

    Wonders
There is no where on the planet that is worse than Jordan in that. We have the world record of the most Internet cafe's IN THE SAME STREET!
    How can you beat that!?
HAHAHAHA! I'll leave it up to Maher :D
WHAT??? I didnt say that i did Thai guys!! i didnt!!! He digs me! that doesnt mean that i dig him!

Batoul : atleast....you admitted that you cant resist our charm!!

    EDeeellloooooooooooo!!!
