This is a completely crazy thought, but I'm sure many people have had it happen to them several times in the past...

Someone, you know, is on your MSN list, you haven't seen them online for ever. Or in other words, they have blocked you. Then all of a sudden the pop-up, and not only that, they remain in "Online" state for hours!

I might be too sensitive to these things, a big might. But I know some stuff for sure, and this is one of them

If someone has disappeared off your msn list for a good few months, chances are they have deleted you. If it's a friend, they might be upset with you. Or worse! But when they out of no where pop-up again. Not saying anything, just there, all shiny and "Online". Then it might be a sign

From experience, only ladies do this. They have something to say, and they just don't want to say it out loud. They want the guy to come forward and chit-chat and then -casually- they expose their true intention, ask this question, or make their demand or make you aware of some news you probably don't want to know

Here's a nice piece of information, Khadija actually, asked Mohammad to marry her. But it wasn't as blunt as that. She sent a man to tell Mohammad that if he asked Khadija for her hand in marriage, she would accept. So it's not unusual for women from the dawn of time, to resort to Male's predictability to get them to do things for them. Altering the perception from "I want" to "You want". Now, isn't that smart? I actually admire this!

Therefore I have decided that this time, I'm resisting and I will not even say hi, lets see what will happen...

I will have to beg to differ here, I have those coming up and they are of all genders (female, male and beast).

I also have friends on MSN who I never talk to regardless whether they are online or not. LoL.

In fact I notices that out of around 150+ contacts I only talk to 5 on a daily basis!

And all five are on Google Talk! LoL
    walak grow up.
غرفتنا!! (I wrote it using Yamli.com, thanks for the tip)
yakhti 3alaik ma azkak inta ... sho khiffet haldam hay?
Hmm, not necessarily true. I have a long list on MSN but I am usually "Appear Offline"... not because I don't want to talk to them, but because I really don't have the time, but I leave it on to just see who is online and who is not and miss my friends as I see them going in and out.
I usually keep in touch with my friends via emails and/or facebook messages, since its easier to find a moment to send that, but alot harder to chat and do other stuff. But once every couple of weeks/months, I do go online and if anyone's on, I will chat to them.

So there *are* other reasons for people disappearing for a while, sometimes they're busy, sometimes they just dont't feel like talking and thus leave it at Appaear offline, and sometimes (like I have done a million times) they THINK they are online but they forgot to change the status from Appear Offline (which can be set to default).

Think positive ya Q, don't always assume the worst in ppl ;)
Trust me these people have blocked me, and they do it this way
Besides, couple of people "msged" me and said. Damn you! :)
But it's of course not everyone as you said. So you're absolutely right. It's not general to everyone

I LOVE THIS EXAMPLE.. I'm extremely impressed!

Our mother Khadijah did not send a man to prophet muhmmad but it was her friend (نفيسة بن مُنية).
Thanks Ahmad for the correction. I'm glad the idea is not wrong though :)
well I have to say its true.. what happens is that when we are angry at someone we just dont want to talk to them.. we usually do that to see if they care enough to do their best to talk to us..
we block them and we make sure that they know that they are blocked.. but after a while the anger goes away and we start missing them or maybe thinking that we can still be friends or maybe just to give them a piece of our mind.. so we unblock them.. we OF COURSE do not start the chat, we have our pride, we wait for them to make the first move..
It all differs after that.. usually after a couple of times of not talking guys do start the chat, so we either go with it and make sure they know that we are over it, or on the contrary we let them know that we are still angry..
but if they did not start the chat after a couple of times we block them again.. out of anger of course..
Again I cannot generalize but this is what usually happens..
PrincessN! I just want to say, Thank you ... Thank you .. Thank you!
lol Q, i actually very rarely log on to msn, if my friends think like this i am in deep shit :)
    Any time :)

Well Qwider, the idea is wrong becasue you used an evidance which is out of the topic. You are talking about un-islamic relatioship between girls and boys on  MSN for fun and marriage story of Our mother (Khadija). I did not get it the connection here.
Our mother, (Khadija) was a woman, before she was our mother. Islam wasn't even there yet, and this sensitivity towards anything that touches Islamic figures is unwarranted because I was talking about "female" want and desire that is obscured usually. At leased Khadija was upfront about her intentions, and she might be a good example to follow
