    Jordan flag

    Memories....

It's a gang or a better name would be a mob...You have a senate with saleh gallab as member and government where the son of abdelhadi el majali is minister! The list can go on for miles.

    Sameeh el bateekhi wen arathi?
    ;)
I heard that there is a group of 20-25 Jordanian personalities that actually decide what goes on in the country in terms of business/money. Not even the royal family can do anything to stop them. That is if the Royal Family was not one of them.

listen what we really need is our corrupted intelligence agencies to be more corrupt and further use their influence to spy on those filthy rich people and blackmail them to use their resources to serve the whole economy.

I know I am being unrealistic but at least that's a proposal that I am interested in seeing its consequences.
It's funny you should ask this, the other day I took a cab home, and the driver kept looking at every expensive car on the way, and shouting (min ayn laka haza).

Jealous is good when use it to drive you to work harder. The cab driver's jealousy was just making him more angry.

The questions is how do you know this person's financial details ? How did you know they didn't inherit the money, etc.. ?

first of all, just because someone have money doesnt mean that he shouldnt enjoy it and spend as much as he likes from it !! you all have no right to ask him WHY DOES THE HEADLIGHTS of your car costs 10000 jds ?? its his damn money !! ma dakhalak tis2alo o t3atbo min wainlak kol had !!!
second, some people inherit money, land, real estate and lots of things, this doesnt mean that the government should ask everyone who buys an expensive car  where did he get its money from !!! thats how life goes, if you keep looking above, u'll get neck aches...
say MASHALLAAAA o alla yorzogni zayo

zanboo6 i agree, men ayna laka hatha is an excellent rule that is being applied in the UK (last time i checked in with politicis which might be completely out of date :D) its a good principle against corruption if and only if it gets carried out by non-corrupt parties... otherwise its skham beskham

on another note, did u not hear:

I didn't say people should not enjoy their money, spending it however they like, within logical limits of course.
Also, no one is asking why something is costing an exorbitant amount of money.
The question of the source, may reveal criminal background. Illegally obtaining money is punishable by the law. That is all it is. If someone steals your money, and he doesn't get caught. Someone should at least question how he managed to collect your money. If they can't prove it once, perhaps they can prove it from the 900th occurrence. So really the issue here is "HIS" money is not in question. It's OUR money that is

If someone inherits from legitimate source, then alf mabrook for them. But again, people can't inherit other people's wealth. If so, some people need to compensated for that.

If you stop looking above, you will end up with no ambition. A sad existence if you ask me. A person should always look forward, to improve his current conditions.

Of course, we say Mashallah, but not if someone is a Thief, at that point I would say, sue him. Get our money back, and let him rot in jail.

Zamaaan 3annek! How are things with you down under?
I think you hit the nail on the head. Corruption is the cancer of all Arab nations. This principle of accountability is really the most important defense against such corruption.
I agree with the Quranic verse that you added, and I would add:
