Good news to all my Ex(s) and would be ex(s), every single ex I had either got married, or engaged. So if you didn't get engaged yet, expect it to happen any minute now. Trust me, it will happen to you too.

So, upon arrival to Jordan, I made my usual "Hi, I'm in town, just thought I would say Hi". If I missed anyone, it's either because I don't have their number (most likely since I'm no longer using my old Jordanian phone) Or I'm not really interested in talking to them.

One stood out from the whole crowd, my good dear friend. Who had the most potential with me

Lets face it, you don't get to my age without having enough [failed] experiences with ladies who might have been your life partners. It's just inevitable. Mind you, I did take every single case VERY seriously. But many just didn't work out! *All* didn't work out so far.

One became a very dear friend of mine, we would stay in touch, update each other on life etc. We haven't been talking for a while (Since I was too busy before this vacation) and surprise, surprise, she got engaged 2 days before I arrived.

I was happy for her of course, and sad for myself. I wished her all the luck, and preferred to withdraw gracefully to save face and to allow the whole thing to take progress without any external interference.

Later that night, she called me....!

She misses me!

All I could think of is how I'm stealing some other man's dignity!

I just hung up on her...

I don't think I can accept such a situation. It's just too awkward

"Don't expect me to be nice, you're engaged!"

That's what I kept saying ... While still wishing her luck

walla shoof if your relationship to her was not mere freindship and u know there were other things involved then what u did is 3ien el 3aggel (bass ya3ni yareit if u told her hey, im hanging up on u ... now) :)
bass if ur relationship to her was frienship i think she didnt mean it the way u took it, ya3ni who told u ur stealing anything from the other man, he got HER, u got a phone call! besides, eshoo be3arfak, maybe she told him about u? maybe she was sitting next to him and about to introduce u? would that be too impossible? or too hard?

You have done the right thing when you did not continue to talk with her on the phone. Your ex is confused and does not know what she wants. I need to know something, is it acceptable if someone talks about your sister as his ex? Will you feel comfortable with that? How will you deal with this situation as normal thing?.

well it could be two things, the first is that the girl still has feelings for you and realized that she is going nowhere with you so she HAD to move on... and yet she wanted to try her luck one last time before finally committing, and see if you two have a chance..
The second is, commitment is a very hard thing to do and even if you are in love with the person there will be a period where you will have cold feet so she was just confused and who is better than her ex to help her out..

I agree with you princess ,it probably was one of those two things.I think Qwaider, you should listen to what she has to say,if you don't, you will always wonder,about the "if only I had " of it all.

Please,give her a second chance.
