The so called upper class neighborhoods in Amman, seem to lack style, elegance, manners and courtesy. It's mind boggling really when you think of it.

And these are people physically existing there, before anyone protest with the usual "these must be outsiders" argument.

Apparently, most were absent at the kindergarten when it was "Stand in the queue and wait your turn" class was on. It's really pathetic to say the least.

I was driving around to find a decent place to have coffee. I ended up at Starbucks (sorry, I just didn't know how to get to cups and kilos and I would really appreciate anyone sending me directions)

Anyway, so people REALLY don't know how to stand in line and order. As if it's a competition or something. I haven't been elbowed as much anywhere else in the world. And these are elegantly dressed ladies!

I found a place called "Scream Cafe" their logo was: "SZ", alright why would anyone call a cafe "Scream"? And what's with the SZ? Does Z mean Cafe in some martian language!!? I guess those damn eastern Europeans screwed things up for everyone!

Other observations!

Chicks DIG rental cars! I have no idea why do girls stare at me the way they do, only when they notice the green license plate!

Girls in this cafe seriously have an issue, they freakin stare like there is no tomorrow. And I'm not even that good looking! What can I call this? Disparition?! I don't know!

I've seen more blonds here in Amman in few days than I would see in a month in the US. Looks like bleach blond is in fashion these days

Ibrahim's poll has ended with me losing the top spot to Moey! Yeah, more people voted for him being more annoying than me :(

again, welcome to Jordan !! forget about Starbucks, go to Gloria Jeans, waaay much better (dwar el wa7a or JU university), i never been to cups and kilos but i hear it's a good place too. if u really feel like having fun, then i think u should go to Kanabay (3rd circle).

There is cups and kilos in Abdoun, where Shawirma 3arabi used to be, and another the opposite side of Radisson SAS, next to KA fabrics.
Its strange that you have seen a lot of Blondes in winter, girls like to be brunettes in winter and blonde in Summer.. I tried the brunette thing once and it looked horrible.. i think you cant do anything if you are a natural blonde !!!

i absolutely cant stand starbucks! overly priced horrible coffee, not to mention their ongoing and eternal support to anything jew/israeli, and all u starbucks lovers spare me ur loyalty speaches!

and bout the stares, what i noticed lately inno il banat sayreen qimmet il waqa7a. ya3ni seriously, wein ayyam kanat il benet tekser 3einha, w test7i if someone is staring at her! ishi bigref!

and dont get me started bout the 'elegantly dressed' seemingly 'upper class' ammanians. a huge blub of vulgarity wrapped in fancy paper. but whats interesting is, when they're out of their natural habitat (ie abroad) midri shu biserlun! they actually become refined.. temporarily so!

no offence tab3an, not talking bout all of em, just a spookingly growing number of em..
