I'm not trying to be sexist, or racist, or sexoracist, but seriously, female drivers in Jordan SUCK! The attitude ALONE is enough to get anyone in trouble. Their driving skills, OH MY GOD!

What's up with women driving so recklessly, and if -god forbid- you attempt to warn them that they're dangerously getting too close to you in YOUR LANE they get so upset, and I swear I understood what she was cursing even though I have absolutely no skills in reading lips!

I haven't used the horn in ages. In fact, I don't even know where it is on the rental car, so whenever I honk it, it's quite an effort between finding it and applying the right amount of pressure to make it beep!

So far, I had women trying to merge into my lane (while I'm still in it), other women coming from a side exit and under-turning their way into the extreme left lane. Women parking (and locking) their cars in the middle of the street, women taking the right lane to sneak around a whole long line standing to turn left, then turning around to become the tip of the lane, And don't get me started on the Niqabi ladies those are in a class of their own

Yes, the bad drivers in Jordan are not only women, but so far, women are sucking so bad

All of that is one issue, the other one is the attitude! Oh my god! As if it's not enough that she's driving recklessly, it's not enough that she has no courtesy, it's not enough that she made a blatant mistake she has to have the "I own the street and you all have to warship me" attitude. Excuse me but huh?? You think because you're driving a Honda Civic you're suddenly the queen of the road!?? Wake up spoiled little brat you're nothing but a emm .. er .. a spoiled little brat!

Honestly, women in the US drive WAY better, and are WAY more skilled, gentle and courteous drivers. Oh and they do something no Jordanian woman driver can EVER dare to do... They SMILE

Yes,I know what you mean about American women, they are such skilled drivers and the warmest and sweetest women on earth.Aren't we so blessed to be in America Qwaider?!

And to think I'm an American woman,so thanks for the compliment,I so appreciate it.
Lah lah lah ya Q, taraknak b Jordan shwai heak beseer feek???
Women in Us don’t driver better, it’s just the fact that people here follow the rules, although I know people who don’t, it have nothing to do with the gender my friend.
I mean guys drive really bad in Jordan as well, I got hit twice in Jordan by guys who were SPEEDING, I’ve been driving here for more than 3  years, does that prove anything?? Absolutely, follow the rules, it has nothing to do with women.
    Kol 3am o enta b alf 5ear my friend, yen3ad 3aleak o 3ala 7babak ya rab :)

well if i read this over five months ago i would have been thinking Q is so sexist! but living here i see how horrible they drive..i mean u would think a woman with kids in the car would think to slow down when she sees someone with 3 very young children trying to cross a sidestreet but now the bitch didnt even slow down while making a left turn on the street we were waiting to cross..uggh im still pissed off at her..and o i have so many similar incidents with women...sheesh!

    First of all kil 3eid w inta b kheir, yen3ad 3leik bil so7a w salameh :)

Everywhere you go you can find the good and the bad..not all women here are the way you described them. Some are very agressive more than men..
Not an hour ago, while driving back home , a lady failed to stop at the stop sign, holding the steering wheel as if she just had her nails done.. She almost killed me and  while I was pointing to her to see the sign she rolled her window and gave me the finger ..not a smile or sorry.. I tell you we missed each other by a hair..
I would say men and women stink at driving back home..and here there is the good, the bad and the ugly .......
well i have to agree with you, when it comes to driving, we women suck..
the only thing that i agree with Saudi Arabia about is not allowing women to drive :)
well i know that women are not as good drivers as men, bass Q, u have just described a very skilled ammani driver! ive been driving in amman for quite a while to know the measurands ammani people look for to consider someone a good driver! being overly confident that u think u own the road, not looking enuogh in the mirros because u know, mirrors are for dummies! taking the right lane to get ahead... shoo fee wa7deh mghallebtak so u actually generalized upon women? thats a description of a taxi driver! and u know how "ammani-skilled" they are...
woman are not as good drivers because most of them lack self confidence i nthe street, they look in side mirrors and keep straight, they besra7ooo way to much that they actually drive slow on left lanes or keep driving in the middle between two lanes, and what irritates me most is that they forget to look in both directions when they cross a street, but they would be REALLY slow that u can actually treat them as pedestrians... bass agressivness? over taking and rudeness? thats a great driver! what r u talking about? :P
FINNAAALYYYYY!! SOMEONE IS STANDING WITH ME AGAINST THOSEEEEEE DRIVERSS!!!! THANK YOU Q

    and happy holidays :)

My girlfriend drives like a psychopath! She is very aggressive and speeds alot. She also yells at people who honk at her! So in our case, typical gender driving stereotypes do not apply.

I understand that women drivers here are about 14% of the driving population.  As a woman myself and a driver in Jordan for the last 43 years I have to say the driving is absolutely terrible now and many women drivers are not up to standard.  I have been trying to think why this is so.  T

i always smile, especially when I'm listening to good music, unless there's a guy with his eyes on me, i know he can interpret my smile into something else that will make him risk an accident just to have a few words with me.. Uh !!!

I agree with you, I mean men drive really really bad here,
but women are on a whole different level,
I mean you never see a woman driving at least without the attitude.
Seriously, a woman stops her car in the middle of the street and she's got the "who does those people think they are, I stop wherever and whenever I wanna stop and you all punks have to wait for the Queen to feel like moving" attitude, and if you use the horn or something she gives you that look...ahhh...the look, while swearing...
