OH My GOD! I almost caused someone's death! I'm so shaking right now. Every time I rewind the tape in my mind I feel so bad for the whole thing. I blame it all my soft skills I got in the USA

So, I thought I would be doing the right thing by allowing a pedestrian to cross the street. Little did I know that drivers behind me would see ANY space as free road. It doesn't matter if it was to your right, it doesn't matter if there were people trying to cross the street.

I don't want to say that I'm surprised, but I kinda feel guilty for attempting to do the right thing, only to notice how people take advantage of it

I just wonder, how many other things in Jordan are taken advantage of in the same way, giving way to someone, for a titan to come marching in to take advantage of the space designed to help the underprivileged

Ah, yes...driving in more orderly countries makes one soft.  Don't worry; I'm sure you'll be driving like a selfish, bat-out-of-hell in no time. :)
ops! i'm sorry to hear that...
dude, looks like you lost your "Jordanian" driving skills. you became so soft here in USA :)
    7amdella 3ala el salameh.
I never forget this one morningin in Nebraska,,as I took my kindrgartner to school,a taxi came flying out of nowhere and almost hit my son,it was by the grace of God,alone,I know it,that my son #2  was not hit by the car. And,as I look back, I'm ever so grateful for that I could take my children to school and bring them safely home ,whether it was by us being  pedestrians or taking them to and from schoolbuses, or,as we walked and crossed streets or if I had to drive them to and from schools and school activities ,so that I could make sure that no harm would come to my precious children.

I found Rome and New York to be a challange as a pedestrian.

And Kentucky gave me quite a challange as sidewalks were missing there.Northern Europe and South Korea are great places to walk at.
