No, not Turkey the country. Turkey the Bird. Yep!
Only a handful of my very close friends are actually aware of the big plans for Turkey day.
I love Turkey. In every way shape or form. From cold cuts, to roasted to just about any way you can prepare it. The low fat meat makes me feel good. And keeps my guild-radar really low as I pig out eating the yummy stuff
Cooking a turkey is not easy. It takes hours. But the results are always yummy!
I think cooking brings me a step closer to home. And that's why I'm so in love with cooking!
This year I'm making the Turkey, Middle Eastern style. With Arabic spices and herbs and garlic-rich-gravy. Garlic-olive-oil-butter mashed potatoes. And of course the healthy veggies.
There WILL NOT be any extra fat on this table! This is one thanksgiving turkey that will not make you fat!
Ahhh ... 5 hours to go!
In other news:
The Black Iris is down. Nasim is working on it with the stupid hosting company. They appear to be out for the holiday!
Bakkouz, has been hosted on the first page of IMDB. Caused his blog to go down too.
it's Qabbani's birthday.. Happy birthday qabbani
Sha3teely dumps Orange, Switches to Umnia
Humeid 360Ease has an interesting question: What's Amman to you?. To which I answered:
- Amman is the part of my heart that aches every time I remember that I'm living so far away
- Amman, is the beginning and the end, the home and the fear the distant star in the midnight sky that keeps me going on one more night
- Amman is the warmth of a distant sun as it shines on the shivering icy feelings of a distant son. The mother and the care giver, the womb and the crucible
And .. That concludes morning round over Qwaider Planet
Now back to my Turkey
Memories....
