    I needed this weekend.

After spending the past couple of weeks pulling 18 hour days, it's time for me to have a little rest! And things are not all that good! My project needs to go to "contingent" plans because some people were late and over shot their deadline by a mile! But maybe we'll be able to get back on track. A little free pizza for the team goes a long way, especially for the guys burning the midnight oil.

So I retreated to the warmth of my bed

Curled up under the sheets. It was a very cold morning. The bed-warmer was pulling extra credit to keep me warm! Even my little fluffy dog was shivering!

I cuddled with a nice cup of coffee, and enjoyed the lazy relaxation of my weekend. I unplugged from my work email and decided I'm going to not do anything major (I failed)

So, I went out, got some nice lamb meat, and made Jordan's #1 dish, Mansaf! Yep, I made enough to feed a little soccer team! I'm going to freeze it for my, "rainy days"

I'm also late on my TV shows, I watched couple of episodes from Bionic Woman, Heroes, Chuck and still have like 18 episodes from Smallville, Journeyman, life, Stargate Atlantis, The office, Real Time with Bill Maher and I don't know what else. But my 320GB DVR is getting too full

I fixed couple of things on my blog and added those little icons next to the user-name when they leave a comment. One for the country, one for the OS and one for the browser! Pretty useless clutter, I know. I just thought, why not!

Oh by the way, go ahead and try it! Allow me to iron out any bugs I might have. Leave a comment and see how your OS and your browser are displayed correctly!

It's early hours of the morning here. It's cold, and the sky is very clear. The Moon is like a huge projector focused on my retina. It's so bright, making my room feel so silverish! I like that!

My dog is still cold and shivering! But I'm ready to call it a night, and just curl back into my fetal position and get my shut-eye time.. Don't wake me up :)

    U watch all that!! :beltom:
    Enjoy the rest of Sunday.
nice to hear you're having a break.. weather here is getting cold too, its depressing :((
    HOWEVER Q....
There are only 2 kinds of people who are allowed to have small fluffy dogs: girls like Paris Hilton (ie the ones who use the dogs as accessories) or classy GAY guys, which suits them
Straight guys are NOT allowed to have "little fluffy dogs" ... they have to have big manly strong looking dogs!!!
    3eeb ya zalameh, fada7tna :P
PS how do you pray with a dog in the house?
PPS i love the new country logo thing that appears by the name, makes it easier to figure out where everyone's writing from! bs whats with the annoying OS and Browser? y3ni i already hate windows, why do you want to put their stupid logo beside my name :(

Yeah, I love those shows. I record them for months and whenever I have time (and there's really nothing on TV when you REALLY need it) I just turn it on and enjoy my good shows :)

    Tinkerbella
My cute fluffy dog has such a huge personality, she thinks she's as large as a camel (she did attack a camel once in Aqaba) Although she only weighs 6 pounds.
And cute cuddly things don't negate manhood! In fact, I don't need a big ugly dog, or a massive truck to compensate for my short... ehm .. comings!

PS how do you pray with a dog in the house?

Last time I checked, there was nothing that would stop prayers from being accepted/performed because of a dog!

The little icons I added are to display your OS, and Browser. Since there was so much debate recently that Firefox is taking over and Mac's are going to rule the world. From what I can see... Not any time soon! That took me 2 days to write :( don't tell me you want me to remove it :(
LOOOL.. no one said you have to um "compensate" bs what i meant is like attract like ;) fluffy girls deserve fluffy dogs, while cute fluffy gay guys are perfectly suited to cute fluffy dogs, bs manly men should have manly dogs!!!
"And cute cuddly things don't negate manhood!"... well if you have a bunch of cute cudly things (like teddy bears) lying around, then um yea :P

i didnt say that prayers wouldn't be accepted/performed because of the prescence of a dog bs from what i know:
    a) angels won't enter a home that has a dog in it with no purpose except companionship (i.e., it needs to be like a guard dog or a seeing-eye dog)
    and
    b) even in that case, the dog needs to have its own corner of the house, where it is free to play/be taken care of, etc, bs seperate from the main house where 3ebadeh is performed, because of the najaseh associated with a dog (and of course, there is an entire ritual to rid oneself and ones clothes/belongings of najasseh).

so thats why i asked how do you pray.. i was just curious..

as for the icons.. khalas haram, if it took you so long to write it, leave it ...:D ... and if thats the purpose then YES, LEAVE IT!!! as much as I hate windows, I LOATHE MACS, so if you would like to prove that Macs are not taking over the world, I am right with you on that one!!!!
(i'm neutral about firefox but I do prefer IE over firefox...just met3awdeh i guess).
How about keeping the cute fluffy cuddly things to attract fluffy girls to the manly man? Huh? I bet you didn't think of this one. My dog loves girls by the way, she's a girly girl. She hates guys and their smell (good dog) :)

The only teddy bears I have at home are Tara's toys. She drags them around and arranges them in a little pile that she sleeps under sometimes :)

As for Angels not entering a home with a dog. That's a Hadith, and I'm not sure of it's authenticity. But never the less Angels are picky like that. They don't enter houses with dogs, pictures or statues. So if you have (even one single picture at home) then we're in the same boat!

For the najaseh. There's no such a thing as Nejis without a reason. The rule says. If it's dry then it's Taher! (Jaf 3ala Jaf, Taher bila khilaf)

Many people really exaggerate what you need to do to get rid of najaseh (in this case, it's the same whether it's a dog, cat, or a giraffe) Najaseh from all of these is the same
And by the way, my dog stays downstairs and doesn't go upstairs

Thanks for your approval. I had to change the whole underlying system to be able to include those icons. (as you know) I wrote this whole thing myself. So any change (no matter how small it is) I have to code it up and test it and ...

Over the past couple of days, I started to hate Firefox! It's too strict at times and incomplete at others. While IE like a champ ALWAYS worked! No matter how much I screw up!
But for the 10% of the people who use Firefox, well .. I have to make it work! (and for the <1% using everything else (including safari) huh!! I don't even know where to start!
Oh nooooooooooooooooo Q, do you really want to attract the "fluffy" girls????? fluffy isnt a compliment here, i'm referring to the airheads who accesorize with dogs (LIKE PARIS HILTON!!)... damn man, for all your talk about respecting brains and blah blah blah, you're still out lookin for a fluffy girl.
    Tinkerbells is very very disappointed!!!
(and yes, I know dogs are used to attract girls, its a huge plus if not the main reason that most single guys we know own dogs, LOL, bs its nice when a really handsome dog comes to et7arkash fe a girl and the sheepish owner comes over to "apologize", not having sent the dog over at all.. the little dogs creep me out tho!!!)

i'm not sure of the hadith's authenticity either, but I know it.. I never researched it tho since I would never own a dog myself cuz the slobber grossed me out... i'm a cat person... and the dogs my dad owns are strictly for 7eraseh at the mazra3a...
bs the pics thing is debatable...ana ille ba3rafo inno you can have photgraphs since thats a picture of God's creation, bs you can't have images of a person or an animal since that's a "creaton" and creation is reserved for the Creator (altho sth I have always wondered about is flowers... they are alive and God's creation yet no one objects to tacky flower pics hanging all over the place...yea, I'm not big on flowers).

So yea, I don't have any images or anything bs tab3an I have photographs all over the place... Allahu a3lam tho.

y3ni why do you get so defensive ya zalameh??? like i said, i was just curious!!! im not judging you or anything!!!

as for najaseh...personal choice. im not big on dogs, i got bit when i was younger once and since then i have a terrible phobia, plus "ba2raf" ALOT from all the slobber....>EEEEEEEEEW!!!

Your welcome for the approval...of course I know how important that is to you, so you're very very welcome that I allowed you to keep your blog the way you want it

since you write all your code...next time your free after youre done reading your 10 zillion blogs, could you add sth so we could put smilies!!!!
