One of the habits of the most successful people

There are many ways to be successful, there are also many people and many techniques and habits to be successful. But one of the most important ones is, doing the right thing. Not one! Not just today! Not yesterday, but every single day in your life. The habit of doing the right thing every day, no matter how boring that may sound at times. If you look at the common denominator for all the successful people you will notice that they had the persistence to do the one thing that people didn't like to do for the longest period of time!

You know, in there is actually a Hadith about this matter, the prophet said, that the most favored type of work to god is the one that you do on a regular basis, even if it was little (أن أحب العمل إلى الله أدومه وإن قل).

Also, there is the concept of "Ongoing Charity/صدقة جارية" which indicates that anything that you do on a regular basis, is attributed to your eventual success.

Take another example. All the winning athletes had one thing in common, they exercised more than others, they exercise daily! At any given moment in time, they were at a great shape!

The merchant who is used to opening his store every single day at the same time of the early morning gets the early customers. He gets the reputation that he's the guy who will be there all the time.

The successful employee is the one that does all the things that others view as boring and undeserving, and does them continuously without ever skipping a day.

This doesn't mean that a person should turn into a robot! To the contrary, keep the creativity, push for the top, continue to find breakthroughs and have innovations, but continue to do your mundane jobs as best as anyone can!

    So, what's your success habit?

    Memories....

    Hmm... it's not a habit, it's a personality thing I think!
If you find something good about yourself. Don't ever stop doing it! It will contribute to your success on the long run
"The successful employee is the one that does all the things that others view as boring and undeserving, and does them continuously without ever skipping a day. "

    Are you serious Q?
Measuring success is not that simple. There are toooooooooooo many variables.
Absolutely Mohanned! This is just one!

DOING THE RIGHT THING ALL THE TIME :)

How I love this! You can't even imagine.. We are never "Holy".. EVER.. But we can always pursue doing the right thing aaaaaaaaaaaall the time.. WAllahi we can! Otherwise we wouldn't have tackled the honor of being human :)

You reminded me of this thought by Momekh.. Here: http://blog.momekh.com/2007/07/29/professionals-saints/

May Allah grant us shyness of going for anything that displeases Him.. And may He grant us the honor of leading a 'clean' life that would lead to an everlasting bliss & eternal comfort.. AMEN :)

Prophet Mohammad sallah Allahu alaihy wassalam said: "Wherever and in whatever circumstances you are, fear Allah; do a good deed after every sin, for it will annul it; and be kind and cordial in conduct towards the servants of your Lord."

Religion and god are illusions of the mind. Islam is not a religion of peace, but rather the killing of ``infidels``.
Asdf, Nope, that's a misconception. You wouldn't be where you are today if it wasn't for Islam. (Hoping that you're not commenting from Guantanamo or something)

What you say might be true to you, but at least 4 billion people on the face of this planet disagree with you
