People are going crazy! Eid is possibly tomorrow and the streets are raging with crazy people doing their last minute shopping. What were they doing for the past 28 days?!?! Why does everyone wait for the last day to go buy what they need for Eid? It's unbelievable! Don't tell me that their days were spent worshipping God all day long!
I needed to get into Swefieh today and every way in and out was jammed! Not to mention the impossible mission of finding a place to park. Luckily I just needed to run a quick errand and I didn't need to shop. I do need to buy a few more things for my Eid outfits, but I'd rather avoid all shopping areas. It's crazy out there! I'll just wait til after Eid because people are rude and obnoxious and with my temper I'll probably end up killing someone (not literally, but I will get aggressive!)
My mom and I went to Swefieh yesterday to buy shoes for my little brother. I'll spare you the details but to prove how rude people are I shall tell you one of the incidents that happened. After driving around forever to find a place to park we finally saw a car getting ready to leave, so we stopped for a few seconds, waiting, and the people behind were impatient and starting honking (big surprise). Then as we were parking, the car that was behind us came next to us and stopped. The guy stuck his head out of the window and stared at my mom and said "la wallah zalameh! Wallah ma fara2ti 3an il zalameh la wallah!" (english: just like a man! You can't tell the difference) What a jerk! And as he drove away I told him "smallah 3alaik" or something like that. He then stuck his hand out the window and gave us the finger!! Can you believe that?! I wanted to kill him! My mom told me to ignore him but if he was on foot instead of in his car I would have kicked his ass!
I love Ramadan, but I must say that I'm glad that it's coming to an end. It's been very long and tiring. People are impossible to deal with and the traffic is just horrible. Very shortly, we'll know if tomorrow is Eid or not. Hope it is! Eid mubarak to you all and kol 3am o into b alf khair!!
