Dear lord, save us from Eve!

I was enjoying a lovely dinner with my lovely wife, when one of the Candid-Camera-like shows came on TV. The usual crap, the usual embarrassment and then something caught my eye and made my laugh so hard I puked a little bit in my mouth I think (gross!) ... Here's the situation

Guy and his lady walk into this upscale place, the waiter walks to the guy and says: "Sir, the lady you were with yesterday forgot this bag"

Can you guess what the response of the woman was? in three out of three, they turn to the guy and shout, WHO WERE YOU WITH? Then they took their stuff an attempt to storm out SHOUTING "You can find my in my parent's house"

Netflix is finally coming to Mac

Apple users can finally rejoice! Netflix video streaming is finally available for Mac. But only Intel Based Macs (not older powerBooks)

That's fantastic news of course, but that's not why I would bother writing a post. There has to be some irony in this, ehm .. ready?

You can ONLY use this if you're using Microsoft Silverlight! The Adobe Flash competitor that was used most during the Olympics (because it complies DRM)

LOS GATOS, Calif., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX), the world's largest online movie rental service, today announced it has begun the deployment of Microsoft Silverlight to enhance the instant watching component of the Netflix service and to allow subscribers for the first time to watch movies and TV episodes instantly on their Intel-based Apple Macintosh computers. The deployment, which will initially touch a small percentage of new Netflix subscribers, is the first step in an anticipated roll-out of the new platform to all Netflix subscribers by the end of the year

    Great win for Human rights

Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, France Telecom and Vodafone among others have partnered to promote free speech on the Web.

Initiated by Yahoo after coming under fire after it gave the Chinese government information that lead to the prosecution of dissidents for their freedom of speech.

The Global Network Initiative (GNI) (Website going live on Wednesday) has been in the works for two years as companies and internet related institutes along with human rights groups and committees to protect Journalists have been hard at work to formulate these Guidelines to support human rights in a world that is getting smaller and privacy violations have been on everyone's mind especially when these violations come straight from the governments who are supposed to be doing their jobs protecting human rights

    WOW Moment!

Indiana (yes, not India) call center employees decided to WALK OUT of the job refusing to place smear calls against Obama!

Indiana (one of the only places that doesn't allow "Robocalls"), because of this, workers had to actually read a script that was filled with McCain lies and BS!

The result! The brave workers walked out!

Some three dozen workers at a telemarketing call center in Indiana walked off the job rather than read an incendiary McCain campaign script attacking Barack Obama, according to two workers at the center and one of their parents.

"They walked out," Williams says of her daughter and her co-workers, adding that they weren't fired but willingly sacrificed pay rather than read the lines. "They were told [by supervisors], `If you all leave, you're not gonna get paid for the rest of the day."

    Visited by King Abdullah II

Having HM the king sit on your own sofa at home is one amazing honor. Let alone spending some time talking to him and exchanging amazing ideas about life, politics and where this world is headed.

Then later on walking out together in a rally, chanting at the top of your lungs "Long live the king" (Ya3eesh jalalet el Malek Al Mu3atham), as if HM was running for president of the United States! Then as you reach a private location, you get to spend a lot more time with HM as you share a train ride chit-chatting, talking about just about every subject out there. Yes, yes, including women! That whole experience stamped a huge smile of joy on my face all day today.

It's such a huge pleasant honor...

Get that thing away from me

Apologies to all pregnant women, or women who might get pregnant in advance, but WHY oh why do some women have this urge to have total strangers touch their over stretched bellies?

Don't get me wrong, I think pregnancy is an amazing miracle and I love babies despite all their "undocumented features". But give me a break! The bakery is not a place to rub someone's tummy!

Palin calls Bush a major obstacle for campaign

Republican ticket targets administration in bid to boost poll numbers

GREEN, Ohio - President Bush's unpopularity is the No. 1 problem for the Republican presidential ticket, vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin said in an interview airing Friday, breaking sharply with the president as the campaign enters its final days.

Palin made her remarks in an interview Wednesday with Brian Williams, anchor of "NBC Nightly News." Beginning with that interview and continuing in newspaper interviews and campaign speeches, Palin and Republican presidential nominee John McCain have made it clear that they are determined to disassociate themselves from the president, who registered only a 22 percent approval rating in a New York Times poll released this week.

"We're up against a lot," said Palin, the governor of Alaska. "We're up against a very unpopular president, Bush's administration right now, and those who want to link us to that administration."
