تستذكر الطبقة العاملة الاردنية في هذه الايام مرور عشرة اعوام على وفاة القائد النقابي العمالي واحد ابرز مؤسسي الحركة النقابية الاردنية والشخصية الوطنية والاممية موسى قويدر, الذي كرس حياته دفاعا عن الطبقة العاملة الاردنية وقاد نضالها مع نخبة من المناضلين النقابيين منذ اوائل الخمسينات من اجل تحسين شروط عملها واصدار التشريعات التي تسمح لها بانشاء النقابات العمالية, وتحديد ساعات العمل بثماني ساعات والاعتراف بحقها في الحصول على عطلة اسبوعية مدفوعة الاجر وكذلك التمتع باجازات سنوية ومرضية وعطل الاعياد الدينية والقومية المدفوعة الاجر, وتفويض النقابات العمالية بالدخول في مفاوضات جماعية من اجل تحسين شروط العمل وتحقيق مكاسب عمالية كالتأمين الصحي وصناديق الادخار وغيرها. وكان من ابرز مكاسب الحركة العمالية صدور قانون الضمان الاجتماعي.
