Drilling holes

Would you just take my word on something?

If someone drills holes in your argument, or in your work. Or if they point out to you things you missed, forgot or didn't even think of. Don't think badly of them. They're might not be doing this to belittle or undermine you or your work.

They might just be trying to help.

A thousand days have passed, a million will pass

Imagine a thousand days with no access to, well, just about everything we hold "normal". Not only that, but throw in a war in the middle, a few skirmishes in those 1000 days, a bunch of political assassinations, few thousands dead, millions starved and unemployed and you might get 1/1000 of the picture of what is truly happening in Gaza. Worse than Nazi Ghettos of the WWII, orchestrated by the same people who claim to have suffered in those ghettos.

Gaza under siege

Can you imagine how life for you, your children, your aging parents would be like under these conditions?

The best Jordanian online service IS BACK!

The reincarnated PhotoJoNet.com (review, shutdown) is back! Yep, operating under a new name, new site and same old fantastic idea http://www.snap2shop.com/ is now Live!

If I had to rank the most innovative Jordanian companies Snap2Shop would be right there at the top. Created in the true spirit of innovation, entrepreneurship and adventure... Wow!

Let me state once and for all, I'm not affiliated with Snap2Shop in anyway, nor is this a paid advertisement. I'm just supporting our home grown youth on their wonderful endeavor.

I know photo-frames, and computer screens are reducing the need for printed material. But for old folks like mine, there's nothing like a 1,000,000hz flicker free hard-copy of memories in their hands. Or displayed proudly on their wall. In fact, just yesterday my father asked if I was going to send more pictures. Now, I happy that I, once again, can.

Don't be rude!

Lesson of the day, Rude, doesn't get you anywhere!

Only people who's job is actually in customer service are the ones who would take your crap and try to calm you down to "win" your satisfaction!
... Oh and your mother!

But no one else is going to take your crap.

The significance of the 5 prayers

Some of my friends call me, "closet Islamist". I guess there's no use getting out of the closet. I am what I am, and completely by my choice. Not forced, or brain washed into it.

There are certain things in this life that we sometimes have to take on "faith". We really don't know why, and for the remainder of this article the main idea is me trying to reason why prayers in Islam are divided in the way they are. However, this is not approved or endorsed by any Islamic fatwa, nor does it convoy any justification or ideas to find work-arounds.

A while ago, I was pretty strapped for time, I had to accomplish so much with so little time. So I ran a little experiment. It's really not all that scientific since a sample of 1 can't really be extrapolated or generalized, but I think at least for me, it worked.

The experiment was to create a work metronome.

3 years old

I can't believe I missed my new-birth anniversary! This is sad, a sign of old age I am sure!

A week ago, my lungs turned 3 years old! Can you imagine that? I've been smoke free for 3 years. I didn't even take a single puff!

break-cig

To be frank, at times I felt weak and in need of a nicotine laden, lung filling tar puff. But I didn't, and trust me, if you have never picked up smoking you wouldn't know how tough it is to quit! It's almost impossible!

Laws didn't make me quit, taxes didn't make me quit either. I doubt these have any effect on people who really want to smoke!

The only thing that can help  you quit, really, is you. Add to that the support of your family and friends and you're on your way to success!

Remember this counter?

Will the Red-dead ever get the go-ahead?

If you haven't heard of the Red-Dead project, here it is in a nutshell. It's a project to connect the Red Sea with the Dead Sea. Of course, the very first reaction is usually, ah-huh, why?

Well, there are many reasons to actually do such a project, (and many more NOT to do it). In a recent article in JO magazine. There seems to be a lot of official reluctance from the government, and dodging any official responses to the whole matter!

Of course, it's really not news, nor is the government reluctance to go ahead or shelf the project. But it's interesting to see that that government isn't making any statements about it. Is it going to happen or not!!?

My personal opinion on it is that this project isn't really worth doing, and here's why...
